Pumpkin Painting and Halloween Costume

We let Evelyn paint her pumpkin that she got at the pumpkin patch. I was amazed at how well she did. I would open a color for her and she would dip the paint brush in the paint multiple times and paint on the pumpkin until she wanted a new color. What a little artist :)

This was right after she stuck the paint brush in her mouth. Thank goodness it was non-toxic washable children's paint.

 Finished product!

For Halloween we dressed Evelyn up as a Elephant. Her costume is dedicated to all the little kids who can't say Evelyn and ended up calling her Baby Elephant. I LOVED her costume! She even wore the hood the whole night at the ward trunk-or-treat. By the end of the night she was dragging her pumpkin with her candy in it because she didn't want mom to help her. It was really cute! I am sad we didn't have our camera with us to get a picture of that. I must say, Halloween is so much fun as a parent!

Pumpkin Patch

Last week our playgroup went to the pumpkin patch in Hammond. We were so happy our friends Olivia and Adalyn could join us. We drove around forever trying to find the place, but once we got there we had a ton of fun. The kids loved running around checking out the pumpkins, playing on the toys and sharing snacks. What a fun afternoon! Evelyn even got her face painted for the first time. She smeared it before it dried so we didn't get a picture. Next time!

This was only half of the kids

It's a BOY!!

A few weeks ago we had our 20 week ultrasound and found out we were having a boy! We are really excited for Evelyn to have a brother. Everything looked good. He was moving like crazy during the whole ultrasound. We can't wait to meet our little boy!

Park

Evelyn is coming to love the park. We have been trying to go more as a family. She enjoys the swings and running around! We have been trying to teach her to go down the slide. We just wish there was a park within walking distance from our apartment.

Baton Rouge Zoo

Last week our play group went to the Baton Rouge Zoo. I was a little worried about the rain since it was pouring down rain the whole drive there, but we lucked out the sun came out. I realize now I should have taken a group picture. Oh well, next time girls!

Evelyn was having fun walking around with all the big kids!

Emily and Halle swinging like monkeys

This is where Evelyn decided she wanted to sit and wait for the otters to be fed
I thought this picture was cute. Evelyn saw Halle and Emily sitting and talking so she got up, walked over and sat down by them. She really does think she is one of the big kids.

We love the Huddlestons
