Kliebert's Alligator Farm

After this post I am finally all caught up with the pictures from when Nana and Papa came to visit. We moved to a new apartment two weeks after they left, so I claim that is the reason I am behind. We visited the Kliebert's Alligator Farm. I was really interesting to see all of the alligators at different ages and learn all about them.

The guide was pointing out different features of the alligator. Really interesting.

I pretty much have the coolest baby ever! She actually started rocking on the alligator just like she does on her rocking horse.

Do you see the size of that head?! This alligator is know as Crush (if I remember right). He was huge!!! I couldn't believe how close they would get to him.
Crush's lady friend
Besides kneeling on the alligator earlier this was probably my favorite part
The gator in the video below is one of their meanest gators.

Avery Island

The same day we went on the swamp tour with Nana and Papa in June we also went down to Avery Island. There is a garden that you can do a driving tour of with stops where you can get out and explore just a little.

Evelyn was kind enough to read us the plaque about the Buddha statue

Avery Island is also the home to the Tabasco Factory where all of the Tabasco you eat is made

10 Months

As promised in the last blog, here are Evelyn's 10 month pictures. They were not quiet as successful as I had hoped. I was struggling with figuring out the lighting in our new apartment, keeping Evelyn from taking a head dive off the couch and taking a picture before she stood up and walked over to me. Haha. It was an enjoyable morning.

Evelyn weighs in at 18 and 1/2 pounds. We haven't attempted to measure how tall she it. She is walking all over the place. It has been so fun this last few days to look over and see her walking across the room (normally to get into something she shouldn't). She is as little chatter box as well, constantly talking about who knows what. She is also very nosy! We can hardly do anything without her looking over our shoulder and climbing into our lap to get a better view of what we are working on. We love her so much! She makes us smile and laugh all the time!

9 Month Pictures (A Month Late)

Evelyn actually turned 10 months last week (pictures to come), so these pictures are a little late. We took these while at Avery Island with Nana and Papa. They are different than all of the other month pictures because she doesn't quiet sit still on the recliner long enough to get a picture and normally ends up eating the paper with the number on it. Oh well, we love her anyways!

At 9 months she was 17 pounds 13 ounces and 28 inches long
