1 Year and 2.5 Years

Last weekend we took some pictures of Harrison and Evelyn up at the State Capital. These are supposed to be Harrison's 1 Year Photos, a little late but still fun. My kids are cute so there are a ton of pictures. Enjoy!

Harrison's 1st Birthday

We have been so blessed to have Harrison part of our family! I feel like it was yesterday that we were at the hospital and Evelyn had her arm around Harrison and didn't want to let go! He has grown so much this last year and developed such a fun personality. He is all boy! He loves tackling his sister, throwing balls and other toys in reach, eating and snuggling with mom. 

Harrison's birthday started out with some yummy pancakes

After breakfast he opened his presents. He sure was spoiled by family!

To celebrate we just had a couple of Harrison's friends over for some cupcakes

Harrison loved his birthday balloon. He played with it for days!

Evelyn is our silly girl! She loves making faces instead of smiling for pictures these days.

Which didn't go over so well. Maybe next year we will skip the candle.

Since he didn't want anything to do with his cupcake on his birthday, I saved it and let him try some the next day. He played with it for a little while but still did not want to eat any of it. 

Harrison's First Steps

Harrison took his first steps today!

New Orleans Zoo

One benefit to Ben only having class and teaching Monday through Thursday is that we can do things as a family on Fridays. Just after the semester started we packed up a lunch, loaded up the car and took the kids down to the New Orleans Zoo. It was an enjoyable day since most of the kids in the area were already back in school. Evelyn was so excited during the whole drive down. I had hoped that she would fall asleep on the drive. She did, just 5 mins before we arrived. She still managed to have enough energy to walk a majority of the way. I'm excited now that Evelyn is a little older for all of the adventures and outings we can have!

I know this next picture is blurry but I had to add it. I hate hate hate snakes. They creep me out. So ya'll should be proud of me for touching it.
